if its not a power boot, like the new ones, there would be nothing to pull the boot closed |

Yeh its the 2012MY power boot. i did a search but couldn't find anything about it. Its just annoying that it's possible on Mercs and other marques. Kinda defeats the purpose of having power boot in the first place!! Looking to buy a TDV6 HSE! |

I don't find it that much hassle if I'm honest.

Not 'pull' it Nick, just press a button on the lower part of the tailgate Agree, that it should have had remote closing though. Other marques do, seems like LR dropped a b k on this one. No beeps on the RRS one, it just stops if it meets an obstruction, leaving you to guess if its shut or to look at the info screen on the dash for a 'door open' sign.

I wish my boot would shut first time everytime it usually shuts 1 in four attemps it is really beginning to pi55 me off now and it been back to the dealer twice the thing is i use it quite a lot and i'm risking trapping the dogs tail in it because when i have to open it again to try to get it to shut a second time the dog gets all excited thinking he his getting back out of the motor and going for a walk |

, sorry, shouldn't laugh Ady, but I can imagine the dog going mental as you try and shut it in again. My dog would be the same.
