Tracker advice please

I would like to purchase a tracker for my RRS. Ideally a non-subscription one. Does anyone have any recommendations? Cheers!

Have got a Traker Monitor here, £500 install and circa £250 for lifetime subscription.
Plenty of others out there, but suited me.
Hopefully I'll never have to use it........but...... Smile ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

To be honest, i don't think its worth it anymore, there are that many devices out there that can block the signal for penuts its frightening, just do a google search Shocked I thought about having the top notch tracker fitted but after reading alot of the pros and cons i decided against it, personally i wouldn't want my motor back if some toe rag had been arsing around in it, one of the reasons i took out gap. There are many tracking systems out there now where you can track them yourself via a computer or mobile phone, thats another option, buy or use and old mobile phone and get the tracker app place it hidden in your motor with a charger permanantly attached and there you go track your car whenever your other half is out shopping or whatever your other half gets upto Laughing

Ady, some insurance companies want trackers fitted on expensive cars. Mine did for example. I'm with you though, I'd rather not get it back after some scrote has had fun in it... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

It's a funny one, like you all, I'd rather not have the car back in the event some Censored takes it, but mine was an insurance requirement and for me there was a 2.5 year payback based on the savings I made.

One thing that Censored me off was when I subsequently found out that Traker is owned by an insurance group Shocked , who are the very same companies who insist you get one fitted........ Evil or Very Mad ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Last year when I got my car my insurance company insurance company had a policy that all £50K+ cars had a tracker fitted so I had to.
Changed this year on renewal and save somethink like 30%.
Still like the idea and the one I fitted the top of the range Tracker like Beanys has 3 separate transmitters so even if it's in a container or in an underground car park it can be tracked. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

I had one on a Nissan GT-R-insurance requirement. It was one of the top of the range jobs by Cobra, but turned out to be a complete pain. For some reason it thought the car was doing 5 mph whilst it was in the garage and they kept ringing me to tell me so. I got less and less polite especially when they rang at 3 in the morning! Evil or Very Mad

Couldn't ignore the calls either as it was one of those where they can shut down the ECU remotely so the car wouldn't start!

Was upset when the car was sold but a great relief not to have the tracker!! Rod
