Does anyone know of a DAB upgrade going around? Just thinking about the future. I'm planning to hold onto my RRS for a good few years and would like to upgrade the stereo sooner rather than later. Might start a separate thread for this after I do a search, was just wondering. RRS TDV8 (loving it)

To the OP - It sounds like you are searching in the BBC catagory. Go into the manual search and station listings and you should find it there.

James Thumbs Up

I have ordered an integrated DAB unit from Halfords. It mounts behind the glovebox, and displays using the vehicles existing radio screen. It comes from AudioDAB and there is a model specifically for the RRS (part number CTDAB-LR2). See this website for more details www.connects2.co.uk
It uses an external antenna that sits in the corner of the screen on the outside, but apparently this gives good reception.
The cost is around 150 quid plus another 25 for Halfords to install. I am having it fitted in a week, and will report back once it is installed.
If anyone has one of these fitted already, I would be keen to hear your opinion of it.

I was never that impressed with DAB to be honest when I got my RRS, but I've found that since the recent change over from analogue to digital TV, that my DAB has improved, don't know if they are related or pure coincidence, but I now lited to DAB 90% of the time, makes such a difference over normal analogue Very Happy

As James says, I think you need to change the 'ensemble' as that will denote what channels it allows you to see. Thumbs Up ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

I can see the part no on the connect site, but not on the Halfords site, but they stock Audiodab for other vehicles. Also, did you have to go the the store to order this? Or did you sort it online?

I originally spoke to Halfords on the phone regarding a Pure Highway unit. The audio guy suggested the AudioDab because it fully integrates with the existing stereo unit in the car. I don't think it is shown on the Halfords website.
