England 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 SE Siberian Silver

The MY12 SE is a great place to start, then I suggest add the options you want and need. Very Happy
After nearly 6 months I still feel it was the right decision to do this rather than go for the HSE with the toys I did not want, need or actually like and then still have to pay for more options that I really wanted. RRS MY12 SE Siberian Silver, Ocean, Ivory and Walnut.
3.0 SDV6 256hp, 8 speed autobox with flappy paddles, Factory fitted options: Privacy glass, tow pack, heated seats, heated steering wheel, RSE, centre cool box, premium carpets, mood lighting, vision pack and memory pack.

Hi Mark,
As I just realised this was your first post, it was very rude of me not to first say... welcome. Thumbs Up
So, what other motors have been comparing to the RRS? Does anything else come close? Laughing

SE is £7k or 12% cheaper than the HSE, do you think after 3 years the difference in a similar mileage car will be greater? I doubt it, but maybe one of the pros on here can provide any facts based on a 2010 model. The current SE is very well specced to start with, having a lot of the toys from previous HSE variants carried forward.
I'm with shiny silver on this one, less is more! Wink

England 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 SE Siberian Silver

I agree with that 100% Codfather.
We considered a 2011 6 month HSE against a new MY12 SE to our spec, - i.e. the same money. Which one would be worth more now - probably about the same, but IMO the MY12 would be more saleable. RRS MY12 SE Siberian Silver, Ocean, Ivory and Walnut.

At the end of the day buy the car YOU want, not because of resale etc, if the SE ticks your boxes, then buy it and save the £'s over and HSE. Thumbs Up
If you were to start adding a few options to the SE, then I think then thats where the HSE becomes a viable proposition.

England 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 SE Siberian Silver

Just checked tyre details on mine:-

Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico

P255/50ZR19 107Y
EXTRA LOAD

RADIAL M+S
TUBELESS

so yes these Pirelli are M+S, but I don't know if they fit other tyre makes!

Two advantages with the 19" tyres, the higher side walls give more compliance so less jerky ride over rough roads, and far less likely to kerb damage the alloys. Smile

fantastic price by the way.. I'm guessing you are taking advantage of the overseas forces prices?? RRS MY12 SE Siberian Silver, Ocean, Ivory and Walnut.

Many thanks for the info on the tyres. Yes im lucky that i get the car tax free and landrover give the military 13% extra discount. Even managed to squeeze metallic for free as well as an extra grand off. Good day for me not the dealer.
