Question Time

Did anyone on here see Question Time last night?

Can anyone explain to me why it is that if anyone on the panel mentions immigration limits for the UK they are immediately shouted down by the audience? Evil or Very Mad

Jim

Maybe because most of the immigrant population are the ones doing the crappy jobs that should be being done by the scroungers on long term dole? The ones who hit the "giro queue" on the day they leave school and stay there for the rest of their pointless lives.

I have no problem with immigration and wish people would stop trying to use it as an excuse for the state the country is in. The problems run much deeper and are much closer to home than those that might be caused by a few headline immigrant cases.

If someone comes to the UK and is prepared to work hard and make the economy work then let them come; it's the useless, scrounging lay-abouts that were born here that are the big problem...there are other problems, true, but let's start with the life-long benefit culture and go on from there. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I'd happily ship out all of the worthless scrounging members of society from this country and replace them with anyone no matter what race colour or creed.

This country is far to quick to say 'they've stolen our jobs' no they havent 'they've' taken a job that a lazy sod born in this country won't do or think is beneath them.

Tried for months to get a guy from around the corner to build a garage for me. Gave up in the end, found a polish guy that built it better quicker and cheaper than the local guy. No contest for me England is full of layabouts that think they are owed a living. Rolling Eyes

This ^^

The jobcentres should be dishing out advice on how to get jobs, rather than making sure everyone is claiming the correct benefits until such time as they decide they do want to work. RRS 3.0D HSE 11MY - Fuji White, a few extras.

Just to add on to what chesterfield has said above; I rang the local Jobcentre in January this year to list a vacancy I had open up in the company.

Every option (8 of them) on the phone was to do with claiming benefits and making sure callers were getting every possible benefit; things you couldn't even imagine! However, there was not a single option to speak to an advisor to list a vacancy....at the JOBCENTRE!

I know the industry we are in (food) would collapse overnight with the "shipping out" of foreign workers, and I believe we wouldn't be the only sector. LCFC. Receiver of threatening letters from Overfinch.
