Had a similar issue with mine which is still not resolved. Had two new (genuine lr ones) started motors and still get an occasional non start click. Seems worse when damp outside.... |

Starter motors - The first one lasted 3years and 30K, its replacement 6 months, just had that replaced after a further 15 months - same symptoms every time - just a click from the starter solenoid, then starts OK next time.

I had the starter replaced earlier this year because of the "click". The new one has recently started doing it too. It's booked in for Friday. Presumably another new starter will be going in. My alternator has also been replaced in the last year, as has the battery. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I said last November
Four months later and now that 3rd replacement has started failing with exactly the same symptoms! All genuine LR parts. Anyone else still suffering starter motor failures on TdV8s? |
