My iPhone don't automatically connect when I get into my car, I have to pair it each time. I've been told its a software update that's required. Before I take it to a dealer, anyone able to tell me the exact upgrade I need so I can let the garage know, so they don't get it wrong, and charge me by the hour ! Car is MY 2005 RRS 4.2 V8 S/C

There are a number of threads on this topic on here.

What most people seem to do is to get hold of a service exchange bluetooth unit, which has already been upgraded, replace the old one with the new one, and then send the old one back. There is a member called wiggs who provides the service - I think its about £60. The job took me about 10 minutes.

Works a treat - pairs every time now.

I havent done a survey but my impression is that dealers dont know how to update the software - they havent got the training or kit. Thats why I did mine myself.
