What size wheels?

What size wheels came as standard on a 2007 HSE TDV6? I saw one at the weekend and asked about tyres the salesman told me Land Rover recommend you never put 22"s on. Is that right?

I'm looking for one that's got mostly standard parts on aa I don't really like all the pimping that goes on on some of them.

I've got 20"'s on mine, and thats a hard enough ride for me. 22's are just pram wheels with an inch of rubber. Curbing is a big enough problem with 20's as it is !  RR Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange 4.2 V8 First edition

Prefer RR Vouge S/C but they don't do Orange !

2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

Standard 2007 2.7 HSE came with 19's

LR official line is nothing bigger than 20's.

But soime of the bigger (LR approved) design houses all fit 22's so make you're on mind up on that.

Just beware of potholes.... the 22's give much less protection than the 20's. RRS gone

Great thanks for the reptiles I'm going to stick to nothing bigger than 20" and will settle for 19" if they're on the vehicle.

I've been in one on 22's and it felt strange. Great replies thank you.

ive no idea what you mean by strange, ive been in one with both 20" and 22" on, and i couldnt tell any difference, i went on a 500 mile road trip to Tenby and back the other week, A roads there and motorway on the way back, it handles superbly on both types of road 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater Smile)))

Oops stupid iPhone! Replies not reptiles. I've just spoken to the guy I know who I shared the journey with he said it may have felt strange as he had a wheel alignment problem that he wasn't aware of until a few weeks ago. Could be related to that. The ride to me felt unsmooth and noisy seemed to put the road surface into the cab. I could feel every bump.

Having seen the amount of 22" wheels that have cracked, my advice is to stay clear of them...

So by the same logic then you shouldn't do remaps to the car because the engines blow up!! I'm sure if i dine a quick Google search i could point out some that have went pop(not your maps personally).

Putting bigger alloys on a car will cause the ride to change slighty and probably cause premature wear to some parts but I'm sure for every person that's had alloys crack there will be 10x more that haven't had a problem.

couldnt agree more, ALL sizes of wheels will crack if you hit a pothole or brick Rolling Eyes hard enough, except my daughters ford ka, whose steel wheels buckle, a lot, 3 so far in the past 4 years, i think shes going to fast, she says you cant go fast enough Laughing 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater Smile)))

I've had 22"s on my last 2 RRS over the past 4 years, done over 100,000 miles and never had them crack on me however they have been of a decent standard, namely Khan & Hawke.

You do definately feel the bumps in the road more though, that's a down side and they cause your tyres to wear down quicker Smile
