Jock, try using the command shift on approach to a junction, when you have almost stopped put it into 1st gear then see if it pulls away better without the backlash you have described, the problem is that a rrs pulls away in second gear in auto which give it a sluggish take off by using the command shift you get to pull away a lot quicker but don't forget to change up the gears if using command shift otherwise it will hit the rev limiter and change up itself |

Thanks again for the replies that I have already received.Tried the command shift but never made much difference ,just wondered if anyone had any other thoughts on my queries. The other thing I had wanted to ask is does anyone have any recommendations where in Scotland to have the Timing Belts changed.I know it will be next year but as well to get organised |

Thanks Strathearn will definately keep that in mind for the Belts. Or any other major stuff. Can you help on the other queries ie the slack in the drive or about the Poly bushes and if the possible cure for the rattle from the Dynamic Stability control is this a recall ? |

The slack in the drivetrain, we would need to see the car to assess it.
