nail in a tyre

A few days ago on a day out I noticed a screw in my tyre.

Not sure what I could do, I had called the breakdown service who advised that it mightve been there for ages and unlikely to affect my driving, condition of the vehicle. Either I could change to a spare or get an emergency tyre fixer to fix it within minutes.

I decided to leave it and a few days on...I cant see it and my tyre is NOT deflated.

Common sense tells me that I (or a garage) should search the tyre thoroughly for the hole in case the screw didn't go all teh way through as there is an increased chance of damage

Am I right? Oh wow

Thats the first time that ive heard that a nail has turned into a screw in a tyre Laughing personally i would get it checked out, better to be safe than sorry, its very rarely a nail/screw comes out of a tyre on its own. Thumbs Up

Agree with Ady, best to get it checked for piece of mind. Better than finding an issue at 70mph on the motorway when your tyre goes Shocked Wink ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

(nail - screw = magic)

I got a price from a kwik fit, looking for the screw and couldn't see it. so was wondering if I should.

I will now and try and work out where the screw was and repair the damage Oh wow

I think that could be part of the reason Whistle , do you not have a decent independent tyre garage near you?
All my experiences with KF have been poor to say the least. Shocked ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i
