I have just been haggling with the dealer I bought my RRS through and they have come up with the figure of £872 for the next 3 years worth of servicing. This equates to £290 per service.

What do you think guys? Is this a good deal??

From my limited knowledge that sounds good Jim, I was going to budget £500 a pop

I would say that's a good deal, I had mine in for a service and was given a quote for a service plan, three services over three years and it was over 2k.

Car is five years old so the service in three years time is a big one, but even so.

In my experience a service has cost between 4 and 5 hundred usually, I received a call from my usual garage asking if I'd like to book the car in as it was due a service, I asked the cost and was told £455, when I replied that I thought it was too expensive I was told they would ask the owner of the garage for a better price and call me back......never did get that call back.

I found out that someone I knew was working in the new pentland dealership in Edinburgh and got the car serviced there for £330, first class service and beautiful facility.

I would check what that includes as it sounds too low to me.
I pay about £95 / month for mine which is all inclusive including all tyres including accidental damage.
This is on 20K miles per annum. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

Is that from a L/R main dealer Jim if so, i'm going to use that figure to haggle with my dealer on servicing because i think they price match i'm sure there will be something in the small print that it must be within a 100 yrd radius

Yep.....Stratstones in Newport Pagnell.

I know that Stratstones get bad press on here but they offered a fantastic deal and buying experience, when compared to Marshall's of Bedford, where I had already bougt Mrs Jim's FL2 from in Oct 2011.

Stratstones beat Marshalls by £3000 and threw in mats, privacy glass and a full tank of diesel! So......a no brainer really.

Initially the price came in at £1090 for the 3 year package. 5 minutes of haggling brougt it down to £872 = 20% discount.
