England 2012 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Alaska White

Holding pool means the dealer has no allocation slots to place your order with LR, this means you wait each month until your name is called, a queue essentially but not an orderly one as celebs, friends, footballers jump the queue (apparently!) my wife has been in our dealer holding pool for an Evoque sinse it's launch in Sept last year, when I eventually complained to LR they said when was yr order placed with us? Fact was it wasn't until I complained, then I got a LR customer number and that meant I was no the system and a built date given by LR to the dealer then to me!
Good luck but oust like hell for an LR customer build reference number!! If you've got it, spend it!

I'd be surprised if it is a MY13 car: I ordered an AB last February and that entered production 3 months after it was due on the last day of the 11 build in August. I wasn't happy, and to be fair the dealer worked with JLR to get me to swap for a MY12 car (for a fee) that was due in at the end of November. I collected that two weeks ago. So, in my experience, be prepared to wait and expect a MY12 car.

All RRS ordered with the factory from now (or sat in the dealers holding pool) will most certainly be 13my.

England 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

Ok

Let me get this straight in my head, an my12 could have been manufactured in 2011 but is not a my11 because the spec has changed??? And if you order now it will be a my13 not a my12 as James said. I always thought it was when the reg changed Embarassed
Can anybody then she'd some light on the spec change between the my 12 & 13

Hope that makes sense, think I've confused myself Big Cry Now gone Orkney grey SDV6 HSE with body style kit contrast stitch ebony leather, privacy, black piano, 22" Lowenharts for summer, 20" with Leon LTZ for winter.

The model year goes from August to August. Spec change between 11 and 12 was the powered tailgate, different ICE and Sat Nav, more info on the TFT, different terrain control buttons, the 8 speed box and Jag style powered pie disc gear selector on the oil burners, and dual view option up front. Plus different colours and wheels.

I haven't seen the MY13 spec.

All,

To avoid any confusion (and cause some at the same time), there is no specific point in the calendar year where the production line switches from one model year to another. This means that we saw 12my hit the showrooms in October last year, and we're now switching to 13my 9 months later in June 2012.

There are many reasons for a my change, and it all depends on when the brand feels that the time is right. Interestingly we do also have half model years, eg 12.5my however it's unlikely that many people would be aware of this. Half MY's are not common but do occur.

Thanks. What was the 12.5 model and how different from the 12?
