Looks like they definitely tweaked the colours, as that doesn't look like Firenze red in the press releases

Hi guys, first post on the forum so go easy.

I'm looking at putting in an order for the RRS Red Edition in Black but I need some advice about the styling. I love RRS in black but I'm nervous that with the darkened alloys and black grills that the look may suffer from the lack of chrome contrast. What does everyone think? I'm thinking that it may look better in Firenze Red.

Also, I read somewhere that the Special Editions were being released because it's the end of range for RRS (hence trying to sell the last of their stock so to speak). Is there a new version / facelift due soon and if so - when is it due and is it likely to be drastically different?

I think that a Black 'Red' edition will look nice (red badges excluded, just my opinion ), I'm not a massive fan of chrome so don't think that will affect the looks that much.
Re Firenze - go and see Firenze Red in the flesh, personally I think it suits an Evoque, but doesn't look 'that nice' on an RRS - personal choice, but try and see one, or at least an Evoque in the flesh to make your mind up.

Re the new model, there are rumors of a model change in 2013, but I think the consensus is that this is likely to be in (early?) 2014 as there have been no test mules spotted yet which usually give you an idea of when a change is imminent.

Thanks very much for the info BeanCounter. I'm probably worrying over nothing. I find it hard to commit to things before being able to see the finished product.

I do like the Firenze red but wonder if it's something I like right now and perhaps won't in a couple of years time. Our local dealer had a RRS in this colour in the showroom and I must say that it looked stunning.

It looks like I have a bit of pondering to do....
