and although this place was a recomendation i will pay more to get a proper chip (this one was £750) as long as it doesnt bellow out black smoke etc
It will get rechipped though

A lot of dealers are now offering a chipping service to the Disco 3 and RRS, so I really struggle to understand how your dealer can tell you that your warranty is void.

If Land Rover were really concerned about what the modification does to the engine, there is no way that they would sanction their own dealerships offering the same service. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Well the Newcastle branch told me about the invalid warranty so i took it to the durham branch today and they had done the exact same to there demo
i.e used the same chipping place and had to have it dechipped because of the smoke and it wasnt an issue so sonds like i spoke to a jobsworth at the Newcastle branch
Anyway i have now had a good drive in my recently unchipped car and it is back to normal already with no smoke so thats really good.
Also when it was in the dealer they cured some hand break prob the diag machine showed up ( i hadnt noticed that)
So now im after a chip that will not send black smoke out of my engine April 06 RangeRover Sport 2.7 TDV6 HSE Java with Ebony. Dynamic Pack, phone prep, Privacy Glass. Super Charge Grill Pack

When I get back onto days next month I will be looking into it ST. My Brother in Law has just ordered a Pikey van and he has been offered the chipping service by our local dealership.

I want to know if the boffins at Land Rover need any test vehicles. I will gladly donate my vehicle for a free upgrade.
