2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
Detailing

lo all,

Thinking of detailing my RRS soon, just getting the ingredients together.

Thinking about wash with Autoglym Body conditioner, then applying a coat of super resin polish, I then have a Autoglym ultra gloss protection and then I was going to finish with some Colinite 476s. Maybe a couple of coats of this.

Would I be going along the right lines with this?

I also have an Autoglym tar remover which I would like to apply, however a little unsure when to apply this and whether to apply to the whole vehicle.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

James

England 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Santorini Black

I've used Colinite 476 on my car and it brings it up a treat. I did use Mer for many years, but now I'm converted.

De tar after washing, and when it's relatively dry so as not to water product down too much, lower doors, rear bumper, just behind wheel arches will attract more tar, but I would check everywhere else too

I would then rewash (or rinse with pressure washer, and then use a clay detailing bar)
wash again
dry
polish, (rinse and dry if polish has dust)
then 476s (2 coats 12-24 hr apart)

All the Autoglym stuff you mention is fine.

You might want to clay the paintwork before polishing. Its amazing how much cr*p is left behind even after a good wash.

Be careful tho - its addictive. FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy
Ex 2006 RRS SC - garbage

Autoglym Ultra Deep Shine is also pretty good on dark cars.

Had a great day today.

Wash with Autogym Body Conditioner.
x1 coat of Super Resin Polish
x1 coat of Colinite 476s

I think I am going to apply another coat of Colinite 476s in the morning, but I am amazed with the results of the Colinite.

Its the cleanest and shiniest I have seen the car since I have owned it!

Thanks Guys

James
