Hey all, i know that supermarkets use a lesser grade of petrol and a lot of cars run like a bag of nails after using there standard unleaded, but has any one had any issues with supemarket diesel ????

No issues as such, but both the TDv8's I ran were more economical and ran more smoothly on branded regular diesel than on supermarket diesel, my Evoque also prefers branded diesel to supermarket diesel. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Has there been any tests done to prove supermarket fuels are of a lesser/ grade quality |

The fuel itself is exactly the same, the mixture of additives isn't, so I was told by a person who works in the refinery business |

Possibly true Nick, Ive worked for refineing and exploration oil co's and I was always lead to believe that the differences were urban myths.

I just use tesco fuel myself, get points and spend them on booze when I have built up enough |

I filled up with BP Advance on the way down to Bristol last weekend at a service station. Car went like a rocket and the average MPG went up by 8! SDV6 HSE Sport2 - Santorini Black, Ebony Interior, Pano Roof, Things I haven't found yet!

It always makes me smile when I see delivery tankers leaving the refinery. Same fuel with different vehicles.
