Retrofit DVD/Games system in headrests

Guys

I am trying to understand what I need and how I go about retro fitting a rear headrest system. I have seen these items on ebay but wondered if anyone else has gone down this path and can help? I don't want to pay the £1,000 + price tag for a LR fitted system so going cheap Very Happy

I put these in mine,12 months ago and still going. The ones I got had Sony dvd players built in,so both kids can watch a different film.I also bought a GVIF unit and ran a tv tuner to them so Tv can be watched on the front screen and the rears.

Yes,to be honest I bought them intending to take them out of the supplied headrest and fit them into the RRS ones, but the colour match is so good to my interior I have never gotten round to doing it.I put some in my mates Merc and a Nissan and all are working fine. They play games and you get 2 remotes and 2 pairs of wireless headphones.

Could you elaborate on this bit please? Although I have TV in the front already, its not available on the move as it is not the dual view screen. However it is my understanding that a tv screen viewable by the driver while on the move is not allowed.

Interested in providing the rear seats with TV though, that would be nice. RRS 3.0D HSE 11MY - Fuji White, a few extras.

If you already have tv you will have a tv tuner in the car its just a case of finding it and seeing how many outs it has on it.Even if it only has 1 out it could still be split and boosted with signal booster to provide signal for the rear screens,of course thats presuming your tv's have a spare input, but again that could be got round by a switchable splitter.
The Gvif unit plugs into the sat nav box under the seat and allows connection of pretty much any device with av/phono plugs and also allows a reversing camera to work for those of us with it not FF.
