2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

Diff problems

Has anyone else had problems with the diff? I only ask as i have a 2007
TDV6 and just had a full diff failure and a bill for £1681.75 but did include new discs and pads
on front whilst it was in, but seems a little early for a vehicle built for off road to have a diff go
with 97000 miles on and not a great deal of off roading done.
I had a Discovery for six years and amassed 186000 miles and never this problem,
is it just one of those things?

had front diff go at 46k no offroading at all.found brand new on ebay £200 fitted it myself job done

I had a front go on 60k, gradually louder grinding noise at loise speeds is the tell tale sign. seems common
