OK, high beam assist is out.... Side steps are in. Now I need to decide on the extended leather.

Anyone who has recently placed an order.... What is your lead time?

I have seen 10% discounts on new Sports on broadspeed. I have read the thread on new car discount where it seemed that most would expect only 5%. Naturally I will be aiming for 10% at least, but what are other peoples experiences?

There is a fairly competitive finance rate at 5.9% APR... Anyone had any luck negotiating this down further?

I'd agree with colour coding as there will be quite a contrast against the white. I didn't bother on mine, but its black, so not so noticeable.

Agree what other have said about 'HBA', I had it on a previous car and said never again! It was !

Steps will set the car off nicely, but its a personal thing, only you can decide if you want them or not I didn't spec them, but will be fitting some soon.

Extended leather ? Not sure I'd pay the extra, I don't look at mine and think that there is a vast amount of plastic, so as mentioned before, maybe try and see them side by side, one with, one without.

Alloys - personally not a fan of those D4 ones - but again, its your money, your car, so get what you want.

Re discounts, I think it depends on whether you're picking up a new factory order, or if you're taking one from an assigned slot. I'd say 10% was a little optimistic and you'll end up closer to a 5% discount, but let us know what you end up with.

5.9% seems to be a standard rate on RRS's at the moment, I think this is the LR finance rate too.

Re lead time, I recall someone saying they were quoted 12 weeks for a factory order on her recently, but again, depends if you can get a spec changeable slot or if it is a completely ne order.

i had wood interior on my first RRS and nearly puked every time I got in. Piano black wood on the current one and now I nearly cream every time I get in.

I can't work out which reaction is more inconvenient  ============

Haha, I forgot to put the piano black on the list, but I was certainly going down that route. Although given rrsboy's reaction to it, I better go with the rubber mats as well!

I like the sound of the exhaust tips, but I cannot find any pics... does anyone have a link?

The only way I will settle this extended leather conundrum will be to have a look at both options I guess. I don't want to throw away £700 for the sake of it.

Now I am wondering whether to go for 22" wheels instead of those ltd edition disco 4 wheels.

I am so fussy with new cars that having options causes my head to explode.... that's one reason I decided not to go down the Cayenne route... I had around £25K of options specified on the Cayenne diesel to get it to the level that I wanted it.

Ditto on the Cayenne... you can't help but tick nearly all the boxes....

I'll post a pic of the tips shortly.... but car is filthy and can't clean as it's minus 10..

Did wonder if you had forgotten to list it, strange to order black leather with black headlining and skip that grand black laquer (previous car called it Piano, hence why I typed that last time )

Joking aside, I got carpet mats with the car and bought a set or rubber ones too recently, they're great when my son gets in from a muddy rugby pitch and also with the recent snowy weather. No harm in having a spare set to put in if things do get a little muddy/snowy

For the exhaust tips, I assume andman is talking about the ones you can see on the RRS site, go to here and click on 'Exterior styling', they are bottom left. I've been looking at some Hawke ones recently as I'm not so keen on the RR offering tbh.

22" wheels are a personal choice again. They certainly fill the arches more, but then again, the 20" aren't exactly small. I'm sure those with 22" will comment, but you'll definitly increase your chance of cracking a wheel running on 22's over 20's. I wanted some Hawkes as well... but couldn't take the risk of them arriving and not fitting MY12 exhaust ( as i'm not in the uk... to much hassle) .... so opted for the no hassle route.. OEM..... tbh.... i'm so glad I did they look fab on the car... very beefy which it doesn't really show on the RR website...
Not sure whether the Hawks have a vent for exhaust gasses either which blackens the tip..... also there have been reports of knocking coming from non oem parts.... on earlier posts....
and much bigger than most aftermarket i've seen.... apart from the twin tail ones...

Hmmm interesting. Seems they definitely fit the MY12 SDV6 as they are pictured here. But interesting point about the size and knocking. I do quite like them though.  ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i
