Hi again,

After being told by Manchester LR that the rapid ticking/knocking/pulsing that was coming from under the car was the Engine Coolant Heater - I believed it like a new fool to RRS ownership. However not happy with it I have now realised it is coming from the rear nearside underneath and suspect it now to be from the air compressor.

the noise isn't there all the time, 20/30 seconds max and typically comes on when the car has been standing over night or for several hours.

I am taking it into a LR specialist in Preston soon but wondered if anyone on here had any thoughts on the matter?

- is it normal?
- should I worry about it?
- could it be something other than the compressor?
- is it going to be expensive to diagnose/repair????? TDV8 HSE, Remap (+45 BHP + 100 Nm), Taylored sport exhaust system by Pipe Werx

I use the Atherton branch, its run by Martin, i used them when i had a p38, and i now use them with my RRS.
These are good guys, help/advice/brews are free, even main dealers ring them up for help.
Its an old fashioned garage, where you stand around chatting with other people in the same boat, you can watch them work on your car.
