Hi mate, I have had extended warranty from land rover since mine passed the 3 year mark a while ago. For me it was peace of mind. First thing that was replaced was the starter motor. I am not sure how much one of these cost but it took them a week to do it so got a free courtesy car whilst they were doing it.
Then I had the bushes done , this was begrudgingly I have to admit as it was suggested they aren't covered butbthey were done. I can't remember any other big items but for me it's been well worth while. Jaguar XKR Convertible

Ive had front arb bushes and new suspension compressor this year, also hire car delivered to the door within a few hours of reporting problems.

Lr warranty worth the money for me last year, will be buying it again when time comes, expensive but proved very good when I needed it.

Price and where from???

Any land rover main dealer will sell you a warranty, I've just had my renewal in the post which is £795 including land rover assist.

£700-800 for the official LR extended, worth every penny search for my claims  ============
