22" Stormer Wheels To Fit Or Not To Fit??

Hello,
Thinking of fitting some 22" Stormer wheels to my 06 Sport, but I'm having mixed answers from a few people with regards to ride and handling. Can anyone give me some feed back please???
Maybe this question has come up before, so sorry for asking again!!!

There's a post below this one that pretty much answers the question.

I have recaintly changed from 19's to 22's and believe me! There is nothing in it. Can't notice much difference other than it actually goes round corners ok now.

I've just fitted 22" stormers to mine, it seems alot smoother and can't really notice any ride quality difference.

I don't think they actually do Stormers in 22" so they would be fakes. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

You won't find it so amusing when they crack and your insurance company refuses to pay out if you crash.
Just trying to help those that aren't aware that putting cheap fake wheels on a 3 ton 130mph car isn't the brightest thing to do Thumbs Up MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

As long as they are weight rated and you've informed your insurance then you are fine.

Chris is right though... make sure they are up to the job and not cheap "fakes" but good quality "replicas"

(and yes Chris I should have stated 22" stormer replicas.. possibly the best looking alloy for the sport, but as LR do not make 22's I thought it was obvious Wink Mr. Green ) RRS gone

I completely agree that they are stunning looking I love the look just thought some of our newer members should be made aware of the differences. Also agree that if the insurance company has been informed of the actual make and size that shouldn't be a problem either.
If someone puts them on knowingly then that's a different matter but we have seen several instances on here over the years of the consequences of even a low speed blowout when one of the cheap fakes crack under even slight loading i.e. just a normal sized pothole.
I popped my car with standard 20's over the curb recently to allow an a ambulance on blues and 2's to get past me
and just a very low speed impact pinched the tyre and I ended up having to buy 2 new front ones at £500 so won't be doing that again whereas in my previous Sport on 19's it definately wouldn't have happened. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.
