England 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Fuji White
The Spec for My New Baby arriving 1st March 2012!

I feel like I am cheating on my current car by even talking about the new one before she's been sold on to pastures new. However some things are just meant for sharing so thought I'd give a run down on my new Range Rover Sport.

Here goes

L320 Range Rover sport
2012 model
Range Rover Sport 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography 2012
8 speed trans ZF Gearbox (whatever that is!!)
Fuji White
Ebony/Ivory Premium leather (I can feel a song coming on...)
heated leather steering wheel
premium leather
sun roof
20" polished autobiography wheels style 10 (are these the best ones?)
ebony headlining
privacy glass
adaptive xennon headligts
surround camera system
dual view touch screen
dvd screens to rear

Can't think of much else I would want to add on.
one thing that did interest me and it was that on the HSE version now the adaptive cruise control doesn't come as standard - quite amazing really . As a previous HSE owner you'd expect at least the same spec...

Yet again LPR have got my business over local dealer (I'm near Leeds, they aren't!)

If you're considering buying used then my current car is a steal at £23k - take a look here

Previously....

Golf R32

Jonathan - Sounds like a great spec.... in fact just the sort of spec that I'd order for myself!! Wink

Thanks for yet another order, it's very much appreciated. I bet March won't come quick enough!

Lovely spec.

The fact that ACC isn't included as standard HSE spec isn't such a bad thing... I hate it Laughing give me good old standard c/control anyday. RRS gone

The system does not suit my driving style I suppose.

Typical Senario :

I'm in the middle lane, catching a car in front and another car is catching me, now I know the car passing me will be gone by the time I need to switch lanes... but the system still over decreases speed and will not re-speed back up until I'm clear in the next lane... which is an age...and anyone else catching me wonders why I've pulled out and not sped up...
Prior to this I could maintain a constant speed with my old c/control system (on the D3) with clever insight, but it's imposible with the ACC... it just cannot trust you enough even on the minimum distance setting...and I do not travel close on the motorway either..I really wish I could just switch it off and have standar C/C RRS gone

have you tried putting your foot on the throttle as you get close to the car in front - it will override the ACC without disabling (only braking will disable).. when you are clear/in the next lane take your foot off and it will automatically return to automatic mode? ============

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Fuji White

^^ this is how Ive learnt to deal with the ACC on mine. It is a bit strange, but at times I love being able to sit at a safe distance and just follow the car in front when Im in lazy mode.

Not a problem at present as forward alert and cruise are not available along with suspension being faulty.... Awaiting a call back from the dealers when the parts are in stock. just over a week and a half of waiting now... Rolling Eyes RRS 3.0D HSE 11MY - Fuji White, a few extras.

Never soon enough!!

I would really miss the ACC. I use it a lot, if I am approaching a car and there's one gtaining behind I just put my foot on the accelerator which temporarily over rides the ACC and then let it take over again once I have pulled out.

Ah well, each to their own.
