And being a scouser I didn't want to perpetuate a stereotype. It looks like we have a few on the forum who would have claimed though Crying or Very sad

your missing a major point, its the insurance companies who push you to take the cash so they can remove themselves from any further claims, my mate was hit and within 24 hrs he was offered 2.5k to sign paperwork meaning he could not make a claim if any injuries came to light in the future that could be atributed to the accident.

he had already stated that noone was injured, but there offer stood. He took it, and why not.....

Wow, a throwaway joke sparked up some debate. I've been rear ended twice and it never even crossed my mind to claim for injury as I was unhurt, but I know some folks who would be all over it if it happened to them. RRS TDV8 (loving it)

But someone pays, the money comes from somewhere, and its never from the insurance companies its always from the customers.

To quote the Office of Fair Trading "The evidence the OFT has gathered suggests that private motor insurance premiums paid in the UK rose by around 12pc between 2009 and 2010, and by a further 9pc in the first three quarters of 2011. " and inflation is around 4%. 2016 RRS 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography Dynamic in Montalcino Red and Stealth Kit

Yes but its not them that pays.....it's just passed on to the customers.

Just like when benefit cheats they're not hurting anyone as its just money from the government.................and where does the government money come from??

If everyone in this country was honest we would all pay about half as much income tax!!
