I seem to have a rattle on acceration coming from the engine , this does not always do this and only just after i press the pedal and then goes away, can anyone advise me if i have a problem

Depends on what sort of rattle your talking about and how loud. I think the all the tdv6 land rovers have a bit of a rattle to them on low revs. I could tell you it's either a disco, rrs, coming down the road before you can even see it by the faint rattle in the engine tone.

many thanks , i checked the oil and put less than 1/2 ltr in as it was just below the mid mark and this is 1st time i have topped up. its not loud for sure and as you say its most likely normal noise. i have been in andorra last 2 weeks and it was very cold up there and may be the reason. i will get a Dealer check just to be save, cheers George
