Hi,

this is my 1st post so be gentle

I've recently (this evening) picked up a 2008 TDV8 HST, which I'm enjoying (coming out of a Boxster to a RRS does mean it feels like I'm driving on the roof however ).

I have some audio related questions;

1) Can I play data formatted CDs containing MP3 files in the 6CD changer? - it didn't seem to work when I tried it, just ejected disc.
2) both rear passenger seats have headphone sockets and volume/mode buttons; the car doesn't have screens in the headrest or anything so wondering what they control/do?
3) I want to play my iPhone music in the car, if I use the AUX socket in the rear can I use it to play music via the HK stereo?

2. Pass, mine doesn't have this
3. The AUX allows me to play from the iPod earphone socket on to the stereo. Presumably the iPhone will do the same thing. No control of the device from the stereo or wheel controls though. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Totally off topic, but can I ask what spec, mileage, history the HST is and what you paid for it? I'm considering selling mine in January and would like to know where to pitch it

Still no idea what the controls in the back are for, but by way of an update..

1) - my mistake, it works fine - I just dragged music out of my iTunes library - which was all in MPx (something else) format, bit of conversion and it worked fine (no track name display however, ah well..)
2) dunno
3) iPhone though the aux works fine and thats what I use most of the time (being careful with the difference between volume levels on AUX and radio/CD however!!



Gilford, by way of price - 37k miles, 58 plate worked out to about £36k with a warranty, maybe a bit over average price but it was via a broker who found and delivered the car to my door, so happy enough with that as it's immaculate and single previous owner, full LRSH etc.
