In-car gun safe

Does anyone here use their RRS for shooting and, if so, do you use a gun safe in the vehicle? If you do, do you have any recommendations for good kit (or stuff to avoid)? I know some people just take the fore end stock but is that good enough? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Thanks, some (mostly Wink ) good ideas. Our Skoda Octavia estate has a useful under floor storage space that will take a 30in barreled O/U in its sleeve. But the RRS doesn't major on that sort of storage.

@MJF
Do you just chain the case to the tie down points in the boot or do you run it to some other point? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

i have used my ARB plastic case that came with my beretta, it have points that you can use a padlock to fasten the case and a good quality chain and lock can be used to lock it to the car.

I assume its just whilst travelling? with the boot cover on etc

I have seen some on a shooting forum use these cases when in hotels, he removed the trigger mech on his gun and chained it to the hotel room plumbing in the ARB case, but some hotels won't allow them.

better still use a hotel with a gun storage room Idea

I'm just looking for gun security when, for example, stopping at a pub after a shoot but with the dog in the boot (which obviously precludes using the boot cover). I guess a suitable gun box or one of the gun drawers that fill the base of the boot is the answer. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I have a BrattonSound with a "wonka" modification to allow it to be secured properly via bungee clips on the luggage holders. L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!

This guy custom builds for your Car. I imagine they'll be a wee bit pricey though.

A chap I know has something similar in his FFRR. Extremely nice. Guns, cartridges, etc. in the bottom drawer and a full champagne bar in the upper drawer (4 bottle of bubbly, flutes, a couple of spaces for other bottles etc.)

Very nice and as they say "if you have to ask the price..." Big Cry 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I think they look inconspicuous if looking in from above too, especially if a daft dog is bouncing about distracting the eye of a would be theif
