Renew ancillary driving belts

Hi all,

I have migrated from the UK and exported my trusty 2006 RRSPT 4.2 V8 Supercharged with me to the Caribbean. Recently had to replace the battery due to a dead cell. Soon after replacing the battery, the alternater/battery light came on interminently. I have been monitoring this for a few days now - and it does not come on at first start and could stay off for up to 10 mins before coming on and staying on. It seems that the alternator is charging the battery and while charging the battery light is not on - but when the batter reaches full charge the battery light will come on. I have swapped batteries with another, and the same problem occurs so it is not the battery.
I have tested the voltage at the battery and get the following results:
engine off: 12.5 volts
Engine on (no red battery light) : 14.5 Volts
Engine on (red battery light on): 13.7 volts

Alternators are generally repaired here - i.e replace brushes, diodes, bearings, regulators, etc. To have it repaired I need to take it off the RRSPT. I have a copy of the 4.2 Generator removal (86.10.02) which I downloaded from this site (from Bob, I think). This looks simple enough. I also had a look under the vehicle at the alternator and noticed that I have 2 belts - the supercharger drive belt, and the ancillary drive belt. From where I looked, I think I saw the 'tensioner' for the ancillary drive belt but uncertain of how it operated or would allow me to take the belt off.
To take of the accessory drive belt I think I need a copy of 86.10.03 for the 2006 RRSPT Supercharged.
Can one of you helpful chaps post a copy of the information, please + any other hints and tips that could get me going.
PS. I am pretty handy with tools and cars mechanics - just need to know how Smile

Thanks. Totally Supercharged!!!
