Tow covers are removed for shipping on a car carrier, they have to be lashed down and usually it is done with ratchet strops through the towing eye. It is interesting (as I am about to take delivery of a white version of what you saw) that the RHS exhaust trim also seems to have to be removed to get at the towing eye... BTW these are both the Dynamic version of the Evoque 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Liverpool??? That accounts for why they are missing trim - there must be a market for knocked off RHS exhaust trim somewhere. The market for stolen alloys is moribund so they have to find something else.
