Why does my phonebook sometimes say "Memory Empty", yet on most occasions display the address book?

2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black

I'd like to know why sometimes on an incoming call it correctly displays the associated address book entry, but sometimes only shows the number (even though an address book entry exists)

2010 TDV8 HSE - ooo laa laaaaaaaaa
2007 TDV8 HSE - superb car and very reliable

2012 - dearly departed, sadly missed.. to return in late 2013 with a new TDV8!

phone system seems to have reguar gremilns.

Anyone tried to re-dial a number only for the screen to show a random number of odd digits?
