2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Siberian Silver
new sus compressor noisy

Hi all,

Ive been getting a fault on my 2005 tdv6 with my suspension not wanting to do anything, blowing fuses, yellow fault light etc so Ive decided to change the compressor with a brand new unit from landrover. fitting was simple but ive started the car up and the compressor is making a strange wurring noise. It now has no fault lights and is moving to all selected heights as required but just making noise, Ive only had it on for a few minutes to check the fault had gone which thank god it has, any help with the noise guys as I dont want to drive it if im going to damge the new compressor.

Thanks

Max

First guess would be it sounds like the compressor can't get the air system up to pressure so its running constantly..... check for leaks..... Some fairy liquid in a skooshy bottle and spray it on all the connectors, ull soon find any leeks

or possibly an issue with the pressure switch, either you have the wiring round the wrong way or its faulty.

Whilst changing to a new compressor, it is also recommended that the dryer be replaced and the air suspension control software is updated at the same time. Wink Malaysia Boleh!
