Im not sure really how much tolerance in cleaning you need at initial application - if the dealer and a valet company did mine - on after 2 months and the sport as soon as it came to them.

If it was that bad, surely a refund?

Sounds like a 50/50 so far. I guess the supaguard is an okay solution and GAP sounds like a must. At £498 for both a good price? Dealer says he'll give additional £200 on p/x value in a years time. Also the gap is for 3 years transferable to my next car. I need to let him know by weds at the latest and im still unsure on what to do! lol Crying or Very sad

Sorry to pee on your bonfire but, How will you know if he is giving you an extra £200 quid in a year, unless he has already gauranteed you a future value? You don't actually believe him do you! Whistle 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Okay the supaguard is out of the window and im not going to mention it ever again! Embarassed

A bit more research into it and iv found this company, http://www.divine-detail.com/Divine_Protection.html They're local to me.

Just spoke to them and its two guys who work for Austin Martin and they do this as a side business. The products they mainly use are FK1000 or Autoglym HD? Customers choice. At £140 for exterior protection inc glass and wheel guards.

Any thought? It seems better than my brother in law on it lol Rolling Eyes

Ask them what they suggest for durability.....having said that HD has had some fine reviews and I'm sure its what they use on all those "Austins" Rolling with laughter
Go read a copuple reviews on both on detailing world.... also ask them whether they have a sealant they can apply as an alternative....
Are you still going to buy a separate GAP
At least yr making progress

the concept of applying something (usually haphazardly and without proper prep), not noticeable in itself (unlike protective films for example), to all the different surfaces/finishes of the car, inside and out, that has a magical ability to protect the car for (3!!) years. Protect being the operative word of course.

that's how come

FK1000 gets my vote, iirc correct it gets good feedback and is quite hard wearing like collinite 476s, but then AG HD gets good results but not sure on its longevity
