With the Thule kit I bought, the roof bars fitted direct onto the roof (removable fitting into the door seals rather than the roof?). You may be able to see in the photo below what I mean.

Thanks for the fast reply! I'll look into the Protrak option, I'm a bit concerned that the 'door seal clamps' might get damaged/ compressed if I get that option? How do you find them? Range Rover Sport HSE, Rimini Red, colour coded.

Easy to fit and remove. Had them on from April to June with no damage to the door seals. I like the simplicity of them and the wind noise when driving it pretty minimal. Al in all, happy with them for sure. |

I went for the Prorack S-Wing Whispbars, which are superb. had them on my Golf GTI as well. They attach directly into the holes in the roof channels (just remove the plastic discs which cover the holes).
