Just bought a new private reg a few weeks back, I was wondering does anyone know where I can get the plate modified e.g plate size, font etc?

I wouldn't have thought you modify the plates, you buy new ones.
If you want illegal ones you'll probably have to get 'show' plates online, try google.

Places like Halfords do them and you can do legal changes ie 3d fonts.

I had a small plate on the front of my RRS, got away with it for a few months then eventually got pulled over. Police were spot on though, just had a chat at the side of the road and asked me to remove it and gave me a 14 day notice i think it was.....could have been seven.

Anyway no points, fine or loss of plate, no drama really but once i was pulled i never went back to the modified plate

I had a miss spaced plate on my Subaru (legal font and size, just spacing illegal).

Anyway plod took upset to it and fined me £42 with a 14 day notice to prove it had been done...

That was the 1st time I got pulled for it..

After 3 pulls I sold the plate

(Every pull was on the motorway BTW)

I still use Demonplates for my now legal number plates though. RRS gone

Same here, one of my numbers was 1 inch out and read PRO4 OTO got £60 fine for that, it me off to see people with plates so bad that they invert 9,s and make square sixes........

I get off by those that do not get pulled for illegal plates. The one that made me really mad was JIHAD i saw on a BMW in Birmingham. How can the DVLA even allow that to be issued,even in the legal format. I aqm not against private number plates, If they are legal. I have my post code and my initals. [/img] itisme
