I mentioned this some time ago........ I noticed that the project Kahn vehicles had got clear side repeaters. Also, this is a marketing ploy by LR as they can easily give the car a mid life face lift by giving all indicator/lenses the clear treatment ... as they have just done with the fully blown RR Note the colour coded rear light cluster Note the clear side repeaters I think they look very good, but not sure about the rest of the mods? Let me /us know if there is a simple route to changing the side repeaters to clear ones with orange bulbs. cheers Martin " WITH MORE EXTRAS THAN A HOLLYWOOD EPIC " |

Those side repeaters are probably from the Austin Maestro, like so many other Land Rover parts...not chosen for styling but for cheapness. L319 D4 HSE

On a related subject....does anyone know if it is possible to illuminate the yellow side strips within the headlamp assembly on UK vehicles. I've found a picture of a car (I assume from the States) with them lit. See http://rrsport.theseusnorth.com/gallery/di...&pos=0 Matt

Yes lighting is set differently. I am receiving my RRS Thursday and will look at the lighting. |

I also understand it is not legal in the UK to have amber running lights or as we would know them, sidelights.

Actually the light housing is already there but you will need to get the bulb and holder and tap in to the white side lights. If you removed the headlights which is a very simple procedure and open up the rear cover of the lights you can see what I mean. I've actually actually illuminated the rear side lights by putting bulbs in then. The lights came from my previous RR but for the rears you would need to drill a hole in them which can easily be done with a dremel tool. For the fronts I haven't gotten a chance to do them but will soon. RRS Supercharged Java Black /Ebony 1st Edition
