Terrible thing to happen and makes you think having a key down the side might not be the worst thing some Censored can do Evil or Very Mad

I used to live in that village.

Someone randomly searching google maps for cars to steal dosent make much sense, surely a would car thieve would need to consider access to the property, street lighting route of get away ect. Sounds like some half baked reported making a mountain out of a mole hill.

This is the very reason why the death penalty should be brought back to deal with the scum pondlife who commit crimes like this.

I found my D3 on google maps complete with reg number and had the image removed by sending a report to google. 2017 Range Rover Sport Autobiography

When i saw this on the news, the first thing i said to the wife is that google earth has a lot to answer to, they have made it easy for criminals to focus on an area to go burgling Mr. Green i think imo that this may of been a result of google earth, there has been many other cases too, one guy had his garage door open at the time google filmed going past his house only to reveal what he had inside the garage, several day later that got burgled too Mr. Green

I better warn my dad, my car was outside his, along with a van full of tools and his garage and front window was open too Shocked

I think you can read too much in to it, if street view is used, they use it to have a less obvious look at area that they have already chosen to do over, they wont trawl trough street after street looking for cars Wink

+1 It's about time the courts got tough on these scumbags.

I actually feel sorry for the rank & file Police Officers that have to put so much effort
into dealing with dregs of our society only to see all that work rewarded with a paltry
punishment or even worse the offender not even appearing at court and never being
brought to justice at all. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Most probably the car was stolen to order for cloning or for a bank job or similar, but do crims use google earth to case joints without going near?? Odds are they saw the poor old fella pull into his estate and thought , I'm after that!
I'd did strike me as funny that an oap would drive a disco, but the pics in the press up here show him as a spritely outdoors type. Such a shame for him and his family , my thoughts go out to them! MY10 TDV6 SE (debadged Wink ), Santorini Black, Flappy paddles, Privacy Glass, 20" Stormers, Mudflaps!

This is so sad to read..... I am sure they observed the house for some time and realised it was an elderly couple living there... I doubt google maps came into it..... I hope they catch this nasty piece of Censored and put him away for life!
