My sister rang me the other day to go and rescue her as she hit a kerb and had a flat tyre and couldn't change the wheel, i turned up only to see she'd actually hit the kurb with front and rear and punctured both. Now obviously havin two blow outs there was no point putting the spare on so i rang the AA and thought they'd just tow her car home. After talking to them on the phone for some time it turns out they wont actually tow you home, they will actually source a tyre or tyres and charge you through the nose for them. I explained to the AA my sister just needed to get the car home so she could buy some cheap tyres another day but was told its only the last resort if they cant source the tyre required for your vehicle.

Just thought its worth letting you know. Sorry to hear the thieving scum bags got your spare by the way.

From what i can gather, she was going strait over a mini roundabout and hit the kurb on the way out. I personally would be off if i'd done it but she thought it was quite funny. Prob doin her hair or make up at the time lol.

Read this post and thought it might (as a new member) be worth checking out just what the problem is with the fixation of the spare. Went outside, and, you've guessed it, NO SPARE! This was in Leicester and to be honest could have happened in any number of places.

Now, decision is whether to go for a protector, or do the new winches offer better security?

i wouldnt trust that crappy jack....so unless it was life or death, or on my drive, a bloke in a yellow coat can do it, thats why we pay......

and if the misses was driving it wouldnt make any differnece, she would drive it home or at lease until there was no alloy left
