I had a power tailgate on my VW R36, and it was pretty good.

I seem to recall last year a patent being awarded to LR for a power split tailgate. Guess it's just not that good yet! |

Land Rover clearly don't have a quality control dept Do LR test anything or do they just send them out of the factory on a friday and hope for the best and let us mugs test and find their faults They really do need to get a grip on their QC |

How many cars do LR make per day and on how many lines? Would it really take that much to have a bloke at the end of each line checking the cars.

Demand that your 2012 cars be fitted with the split tail gate, much better even though i have to slam it shut. SVR 2018 in Santorini Black. |

it really is a stupid implementation of a good idea. Obviously a power tailgate is a good idea, but why not let it split too, which all modern (respectable) 4x4's do - BMW X5 and FF RR spring to mind.

I think your story an be shared by most of us on here; and for me would be the number one issue I have with any main dealer (if any are listening). Usually, we are armed with more information than they are from trawling the net to try and self diagnose but there is always the 3 stages to getting anything fixed. |

My RRS was booked in to the dealer this week and the boot is now working perfectly. One touch from the button on the dash and from the remote. |
