I ended upgrading to SL last night on my MacBook, as I wanted to move to Lion, but needed to get SL first .
Couldn't be faffed with hunting around, so ordered from apple for £26 delivered, only took 1 day to arrive too.

My upgrade to SL cost 39 Aus dollars or 25 pounds in UK speak direct from Apple, so waiting for the disk. Originally it was over a 100 bucks as you had to take the pointless ilife and iworks packages as well when moving from Tiger.

From a price comparison and hypothetically if apple ran LR. i would love to fit the MY12 TV/Split screen system to my MY10.5, will LR reduce it in price in line with End of Life Apple products, therefore in 3 years time the full MY12 entertainment system should be available by special order and only cost me about 2K rather than the 6-7k estimate i am being given by the local stealers  Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

Finally all done, iphone 4 required upgrade to OS to Snow Leopard $$$$, then upgrade of SDRAM to 4 GB $$$$ because Snow Leopard ran like a mangy old tom cat.. may as well move to Lion for a few more $$$ and lose some functionality
