Hi people, just after a piece of mind please. My air pump is a little noisy when it firsts comes on and after 30 seconds its seems happy. There's no effort needed to ajust heights etc all works ok... is it on its way out Cheers.

when you say noisy, can you hear it inside the car whilst driving?

The pump kicks in when the pressure in the system falls below 110PSI (if i remember correctly) will run filling the tank until its reaches 150 psi. You shouldn't be immediately aware of it running although on occasion you may notice its operation whist sitting in the car staionary in silence.

Its a consumable part but they should only become noisy if they are insecure, or if the pump workings themselves are breaking down. Usually they burn out and the first you will know is when its stops the suspension going up.

i hear it from inside and outside when i first start the car up as mentioned but afterwards it goes quiet and i dont hear it. It seems only on start up it makes the noise. Thanks.
