iPhone IOS5 connectivity issues

Hi, I have just picked up my new RRS HSE yesterday and it has the same issue with my iPhone as I had with my RRS Evoque. As the phone is connected by Bluetooth, I use the apple cable cable to allow me to use the iPhone as an iPod. The first day I had the RRS, it worked perfectly, which was the same for RRE, however the next time I go to use it, it will work for a few seconds, but then the sounds goes off. I was told by the dealer that it is the updated software on the iPhone that is creating an issue as the phone is getting confused with working Bluetooth and iPod. It works with Bluetooth music streaming without issue, but the iPod functions are better, however the dealer cannot help at this time, saying an update must be being looked at. My phone is an iphone4 and upgraded to IOS software, which is when the issue started, unfortunately I cannot go back to the old software now.
I expect others will have this issue, but it may be limited to the MY12 as it is the same system as on the Evoque.
I look forward to hearing any advice to fix this Banging Head

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Santorini Black

Strangely enough i've just bought a cable (in readiness for when i pick my new RRS up) to connect into the the USB socket under the arm rest http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...043wt_1265 and so like you i can use my iPhone 4s as both phone & ipod etc etc.....

Now when it arrived i plugged it into a USB wall socket (obviously having no RRS!) and the phone went silent??

I just thought maybe it was the wall socket that it wasn't compatable with but now i'm thinking i may have the same issue as you, hmmmmm.......

Please post if you find a solution Very Happy

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Santorini Black

I sent the guy i bought the cable off earlier today & he came back with the following;

Hi
Thank you for your email.
I to have a Range Rover Evoque. (SD4 with premium pack)I use one of these cables on my car.
There are 2 usb sockets so you can plug is stick into 1 (I suggest the mini sticks as they are less likely to be knocked)
USB and 3.5mm jack into the other two
I believe that there is an ios issue with apple. The forums seem to suggest that update should be available soon. In the meantime a quick fix.
Leave you cables plugged in all the time.
(phone unplugged)
start your car
plugin phone, should show charge on screen
Select from iPhone, required music iPod, or podcast etc.
Select My Audio
In My Audio Select iPod, (it asks for cable to be connected)
Then Select iPhone, play from iPhone or then select back to iPod
I normally leave it in iPhone
Hope this helps

Hi, I'll give it a try, but did something similar when I had the evoque and it worked for a couple of minutes and then the sound stopped.
Thanks
