WANTED: RRS Spare wheel & Tyre

Hi All,

Just about to go out today and noticed something different about the back of my RRS. There was no spare!!! Shocked Seems some theiving Censored have stolen it. Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad So after some advice please - is this expensive to resolve (I see the winch is £80) and should I just go through insurance as a claim or should I try and sort this out on the cheap??

Thanks,
Pat 2011 Autobiography Santorini Black

winch is a quick fix mate, 5 bolts if i remember correctly i hunted the world and ended up getting one at trade from my local LR dealer, there is occasionally a lengthy lead time on them as its a common part to become defective over time.

Personally i wouldn't be claiming, £80 for a winch and hunt ebay for a cheap spare over the next few weeks Thumbs Up

I have a black six spoke 19" rim (RRS spare) no tyre on it though, that I was going to use as a spare for my D3, but I doubt I'll ever use it TBH. £50 and its yours, if you are prepared to collect or arrange pick up somehow. RRS TDV8 Buck Blue (no, not now in my dreams). ..........D3 TDclankety clankV6 ............BMW 318i

Thanks for all the help and advice Thumbs Up

So what are peoples views as to if I get a full size alloy to have as a spare (with the security Rolling Eyes ) or replace with a spare?

I saw a good post on this talking about the clearance, but like the idea that if I get a flat I wont be speed limited (and means that something good can come of this - if you know what I mean Rolling Eyes ) Do any of you guys do this? The most severe off roading the car is likely to do is up a curb Whistle

Thanks,

Pat 2011 Autobiography Santorini Black

i think a 20" wheels won't fit , but i might not be 100% correct on that.

personally i wouldn't be comfortable running a space saver, just get yourself a proper spare, that one at £50 sounds like a bargain to me. Thumbs Up
