JUst collected the pride and joy from the wash bay and went to re-adjust the rear view mirror when a strange light shone on my hand. Comes from the front of the box arrangement where the interior/map reading lights are and shines forward.

The auto dimming mirror is dimmed by the cars following you headlights, it's not dimmed when there is no one following |

Had a look last night and I cant see how it adds to ambient - the rear intrumentation lighting seems to be doing that - I may need a darker road to confirm.

I stand corrected. By the way, anyone had any issues with their auto dimming mirror? I reckon mine works intermittently. SWMBO owns this car I get to drive occasionally |

Yeah got it. As a further laugh, idea with the jeep was to use it as a hack car, take the roof off, up the beach etc. First time we take the roof off, go out, within 20k's she who is boss is car sick vomiting on side of road. Thus endeth the experiance with Jeep! As FYI, towing trailer up steep grass, big drama. Had to engage 4wd, low range, take it easy etc. Did same trip with RRS, easy peasy. Jeep on off road rubber, RRS on street rubber. SWMBO owns this car I get to drive occasionally |
