Stock has taken a beating, people are underwhelmed (even the fanbois) and all they give us is a bit of fluff around the camera, voice control etc and announce its a world phone, which BTW is strange as from memory, if you buy a Voda or O2 phone on contract, it is locked.........how exactly is it a world phone if the SIM is locked?

Looks like the innovative peak from Apple has occurred! The A5 Cortex is out of date before its even released, dual core or not and over clocked or not, they are behind the HTC / Samsung curve already with those guys already primed to release even faster chipsets etc.

It has to be said, talk about handing Android the baton..........Jobs has only been out of the equation for a few weeks and already they are struggling with things.......the presentation was subdued and the uncovering somehow anti-climatic to say the least.....to be an iPhone 4 owner and upgrading to this is just plain stupid. Followed Ady's link and, have to say, the "new" phone looks, well, old. Tired. Boring.

Nicer looking stuff out there these days with more functionality.

Still use my ipod classic (and thus have to use the hateful itunes to update it etc.) but that's as far in to Apple's orchard as I'm going. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

All this "my phone is better than your phone" nonsence makes me laugh. ITS A MOBILE PHONE!!! Talk like that about your house, or even your car.

If they would have called it the 5 then everyone would have been wowed, infact, if they were really clever, showcased iOS5 for the first time with the launch of the new hardware.

Ive been using BlackBerries for 5 years now and have been waiting for the latest iPhone. Not because its 'better' than an Android or a BlackBerry but it suits my needs better than the others.

Apple's share price went down 3% during the presentation.... bounced back a little bit after but, still lost about $50 in the lat two weeks... Ridiculous.
The new iPhone is great, new processor, new GPU etc. People complain 4s, looks the same nothing so different about it. How wrong... When 3gs came out, no one said a thing. It was the same as 3g, but an upgraded version. Now 4s comes out, everyone gets upset. People got spoiled by Apple. Vadim A.

Apple pre-order begins at midnight tonight for delivery on 14th, i am buying sim free. I have a friend who is a manager for Phones 4 U and they have already begun pre-order, but this is only on a stock availability basis......you are basically pre-ordering a stock slot from them so as and when they get them they are dished out to customers.

Yes but there wasn't a huge team there when he set Apple up.............I think he was very much a visionary like the media are quoting.
