United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black
Advice on a new car please...

I have had my TDV8 for 3 years now and so is time to change. Done 80.000 km and at times I was gratefull for being in a Range Rover. Now I am doing over 1000km a week and so am having second doubts what to get. On one side my brain is telling me to get a new Sport - I am looking at MY11 Supercharged with 12.000 km. On the other I am considering a sporty salloon - 2012 Audi S4 with 9.000 km. The sport is only EUR 15.000 more expensive. Would appreciate your opinion.
Thanks Thumbs Up

I am also not sure about Km (sorry I understand miles only and am too lazy to convert). Confused But I think you are saying that you drive for long periods over long distances?

So I can state without any hesitation having recently owned an S4 and now a RR Sport, that I would not even consider the S4 and would definitely go for a tdv6 RR Sport.

With the mileage that you are ‘probably’ covering I would want to feel relaxed when I got to my destination, plus not have to remortgage the house to cover my fuel bills every month, so I personally would stick to the diesel! Very Happy

Only my opinion though, others may have a different slant.

The UK is part of the EU even if you like the Queen's head on your £ coins and notes. You should at least have an understanding of KM and €

80,000 km = approximately 50,000 miles

€15000 = approximately £13000

Sportman_64 thanks for your opinion - out of interest what model year S4 did you have?

Is there anyone who changed from a pre MY10 TDV8 to MY10 SC? And what are you opinion on these two cars?

My S4 was on a 60 plate (Sept 10) and had a 3.0 litre V6 Supercharged engine and a nice spec, although I enjoyed the car I would not consider another or recommend to others, but I personally would not hesitate to buy another RRS, especially for the comfort!

That’s just how I feel of course having recently owned an S4 and now a RRS, so don’t let me put you off the S4 if that’s what you really want, although you may wish to pre book some physio! Smile

Had a new S4 for 3 weeks before handing it back to the stealers. I then needed 4 months of physio on my lower back and right leg which were both f*cked from the offset pedals. Nightmare driving position and hard ride.

The Audi stealer 'assisted' me in an RRS from within their group. I wouldn't have another S4 given to me. FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy
Ex 2006 RRS SC - garbage
Ex 2016 135i M Sport - dream car
Ex 2003 RS6 Avant - piece of cr*p
Ex 2014 320d X Drive, M Sport Touring - ok I guess
Ex 2007 RRS TDV8 - bloody loved it
EX 2007 FL2 XS - not so bad

Euro's are worth nothing Laughing

Would of said the TDV8 just run in.

If you buy the Audi now you will only chop it in 6 months on and get the Sport
