United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Java Black
New Car (conversion)

Hi all,
Had my 2007 Range Rover sport tdv6 for around 6 weeks now and I absolutely love it!

So far I haven't touched the interior but I have done the front end conversion. I bought the full autobiography kit from German-auto.co.uk for £1500, they parts came pretty quick and fitted well, was very happy!

The car didn't have fog lights or front parking sensors as standard but the looms were in place behind the bumpers so I simply bought the wiring and plugged them in! The front took me around 4-5 hours to fit, it took a little persuasion at times but overall was easier than I had expected!

The headlights are genuine Valeo and do have the cornering function, though they still work and don't show any error codes (afs does not work though).

I have the rear autobiography bumper ready to fit this weekend along with the rear exhaust tips. The car already has the 2010 rear lights but they are smoked which I'm not too keen on, so will be ordering some 2010 standard lights.

I have also ordered some genuine 20" Sport wheels in gloss black which I can't wait for!

It also does not have sat nav fitted so I will be having a go at doing that myself, I do have another post asking if anyone has attempted fitting a sat nav before.

If anyone has any questions fire away!

Once the front end was on...

It's good that you love your car, but be careful not to spend too much money and over capitalise on what is, in reality, an 8 year old TDV6. You may not quite get all of your money back come sale time. Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6
Gone - 2009 Buckingham Blue RRS 2.7 TDV6
Gone - 2010 Alaska White RRS 5.0 V8 Aspirated
Gone - 2017 Chawton White RRS 5.0 V8 Supercharged
Current - 2010 Java Black RRS 5.0 V8 Aspirated
Current- 2024 RRS P400 SE Dynamic

Thanks! It only has 48k miles and I got it quite cheap so hopefully I shouldn't lose too much on it... Rolling Eyes

Yes it was near enough a straight fit, the side panels took a little adjusting but overall fairly simple! The kit seems really good quality as well and I managed to get it fully sprayed for £500.

Yes , all the old parts are now for sale, make me an offer if you're interested in any!

I will upload some more pics soon Thumbs Up

Hi All,

I am a new member and I am after some advice please.

I have a 2007 RRS and it didn't come with front parking sensors. I have purchased a 2007 bumper with the parking sensors in and when I have took the old bumper off I can't seem to find the connector wiring harness to plug parking sensors into! has anyone else had this problem or I am looking in the wrong place? is the connector on the nearside (passenger side) or is it on the drivers side? I have spoken with range rover dealer local to me and they have said that the wiring loom will be there for sure but I can only find the fog light connector!

Any advice would be a great help.

Many thanks
Ron

Re: New Car (conversion)

HI,

I am doing the same conversion now with my 2007 model with a new bumper (2007) with built in parking sensors. However when I have took off old bumper I can't seem to find the wiring loom to connect into the new bumper for the parking sensors. I have spoken with dealer here in Newcastle who assures me that the wiring loom for front parking sensors will be there. did you have this problem? where was it located?

Many thanks,
Ron

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Ronaldo - it sounds like your car might be an S or a Stormer Special edition which IIRC neither had front parking sensors so there won't be any electronics or wiring for them. Also once fitted you might have to take it to a specialist to get the front sensors enabled in the ECU 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
