Mobile Home Knowledge required

Looking to complete on mobile home purchase next week.

Any tips etc on whether to rent out or not.

Site offers guarrenteed rental income if you wish, but looks like they take a huge chunk of revenue for saving you a little hassle.

Any other tips pointers welcomed

My friends hire out their static, he's a web designer so they did all their marketing etc...

You really need a local cleaner to blitz after each holiday rental... and be prepared for mindless damage... but doing it yourself at least ensures you can "vet" the people using it... if you use the campsite's booking service God knows who'll be in there trashing it.. RRS gone

If you are going to use it for the odd weekend yourself, I would go down the friends and family only route, I live near the big site in Ayr, where fights are commonplace, most are lowlifes who come down solely to get Censored every night! If you are on a small site with no bar facilities you are more likely to attract the older lot, who just want to sit around and read or go hillwalking etc.
Cheers

Whereabouts are you planning on getting one tho , plus if renting out mind and take a large deposit up front for breakages as this sometimes deters the fannies of this world , and if you cannot be there in person to check them out state that refunds will be given back within a 7 day period after the holiday to check for damages , and breakages or damage will be deducted from deposit or full deposit will be withheld depending on damage ….. Thumbs Up

Ha ha, yes, they are the glaswegians that can't afford to go to Blackpool!!
There are lots of good small sites round here as well, that mainly cater for fishing types, I think a few of them are listed on the hoeseasons website.
Dont let me put you off, but I would stick to the smaller sites, not the Billy Butlins type!
Cheers
