this one is a uk assembled 2008 3.6 TD v8

It has space just if you lube the sides of the alternator behind the drivers front wheel.
still got to pulll aircleaner and radiator shroud
The usa 4 litre looks different, alt plug out the rear, not the side.
prob less output

I had the alternator changed on my 2007 TDV6 for under £400 all inclusive at a UK Main dealer and it was "while you wait". The Alternator was around £260+Vat as previously described.

Ok so I drank a lot of coffee and ended up starting the buying process for my new RRS but that was not part of the cheap price for the work.

And it was all non-warranty work as the rubbish After Market Warranty I purchased only covered me when something failed and managing to drive to the dealer did not constitute a "failure".

My TDV8 took 3 hours at my Main Dealer
I didn't wait
It cost £580odd all in and my 3rd party warranty coughed up  RRS gone

My alternator was changed whilst I was at work. As it died quickly a loan car wasn't available nor was a time slot so I just left it with them for the day. The LR Approved Warranty covered it so no idea of the cost or how long the job actually took.

Actually, thinking back, they had to order the alternator so the vehicle was actually with them for two days.
