Buying a RRS from Northern Ireland - Yes or No?

Guys I have the chance of buying a RRS TDV8 from Belfast - 1 owner - Full LR Service history and current LR Warranty.

Its going to cost a fair bit in flights / fuel/ ferries but still an ok price.

But my main concern is re-sale - anyone consider it a negative buying from NI?

Don't see any reason why not - every bit as much a part of the UK as England. Save you buying a dateless plate as well since it'll already have one on Very Happy

what??? we are not a foreign country! as for fuel flights unless you are going business class it is cheap as chips. i bought my Porsche in Sterling in January. flew out to Edinburgh £30 all in bus to city centre £3 train to Stirling £12 bought car OUCH!!!!! blagged a tank of fuel as a luck penny nice drive to the boat £180 first class priority boarding etc etc but its a nicer way to travel home for tea!

now i will be serious where are you buying the Sport? private or stealer. we are part of the UK so ask is it UK origin not UK spec even England is full of foreign EU imports which do not have the same finish or warranty. so that a problem you have to contend with no matter where u are. HPI it as well.

now city airport on the outskirts of Belfast and a train is 5 mins walk from the terminal the international is about 20 miles from Belfast city with no rail link so its bus or taxi only!

an NI one will probably make you money as u English go daft for our number plates thinking they are private and paying a fortune for them plus it hides the age as we have a 3 letter 1/2/3/4 number plate system (ie OIL 123 is an actual NI number) that is not year specific so u can pass off a 6 year old one as brand new as you can reg a 2005 sport with a 2011 NI number!!

flights will be about £20-£80 as i travel back and forward with my business quite a lot Taxi will cost between £5-£40 depending on which airport and where you are going (presuming its in Belfast) Boat will be about £200 give or take then drive home. in total it will be a day of travel. If the LR stinks the ferry terminal is in Belfast and it is easily accessed from anywhere in the city go as a foot passenger (you can change ticket time and type if u book 1st class) then a train drive home and just enjoy the day out.

If your stuck and not a physio if i can rearrange my schedule I can meet u and give u a lift! Also know a good independent who can look over it prior to sale as i get mine looked after by them!
