Just to end my week which started with finding out I may need to replace the turbo. I have now managed to screw the auto box!! Car won't change up from 1st automatically. Looks as though I caused the fault by rather stupidly turning the key as if to start the car whilst already started!! Was distracted at the time

I have seen a similar issue on Disco 3's when someone tried to jump start an auto. What I don't know is how to perform a reset which hopefully will cure it!!?

Drives fine in tiptronic!! Range Rover Sport HSE and for a bit of weekend fun a S1 Lotus Elise with a few track biased additions!

Hard reset is to disconnect both battery cables and touch together, then connect both back to battery again.

Solved! Caused by a faulty brake bulb!! Engine Management thought I had my foot on the brake!!
